We had a discussion about whether the phrase should be “as a leader” or “aiming to be a leader.”

When thinking about what leadership is, the conversation became, “Once you decide to become a leader, you are already a leader,” and we decided that “as a leader” was the better phrase.

I thought that a leader becomes a leader only by deciding to become one. Maybe creative things are the same.
